I reached out to Stef & Courteney, two incredible fitness models, with a concept aimed to examine the beauty in duality. We started with a dimly-lit, gritty fitness look and then complemented that with a delicate, more natural look. Additionally, we paired similar poses to emphasize the contrast but also underline the overarching beauty of both.

Oiselle is a local running and apparel company, made by and for female athletes. Their strength in brand and growth in such a competitive market is inspiring. More than anything, with this transition to more commercial photography, I want to align myself and my work with brands such as this. Brands that are forward-thinking and deliver high quality product. I reached out to Oiselle with the hope that they may test me out as a product photographer. To my delight, they came to me with a project for their new Vim + Vigor jacket/vest and within a week or so, the shoot was scheduled. I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity or happier with the outcome. The fact that Oiselle is willing to collaborate with new creatives is quite something and gives me hope in working with similarly progressive brands moving forward.
Tayler Fettig, a former D2 heptathlete, took to the track once again and proved that despite her time away, she hadn't lost a step or better yet, stride. I had a blast showcasing her in her most comfortable of elements. We supplemented the images with some killer video of Tayler running stairs and flying around the track.
Lauren Alexander is one of my favorite subjects to shoot and she's also just a fantastic human being. I hopped the ferry on over to Bainbridge one fine Seattle day and we managed to throw together a few Autumn-inspired looks in the afternoon sun. Often times, I find the impromptu shoots tend to be the most collaborative and fun.
My good friend and personal fitness guru, Kyle Davis recently turned a career dream into reality by opening up his own gym in Seattle called Northwest Fitness Project. To celebrate the opening, he asked me to capture the essence of the gym and his group classes with images to be used on their website and social feeds. I was more than happy to oblige.
Autumn and I had been wanting to collaborate and with the impending season, we thought it only fitting to execute a back-to-school theme.
3 models, 3 colors, 3 looks each. Simple concept but it was an incredible team that pulled this all together. I'm really happy with the end product.

Another rather impromptu shoot with little prep, Sophie and I took to the streets of Queen Anne. I love to simply walk a neighborhood, unearth its interesting nooks. We did just that and came up away with some lovely work.
Abigail and I were able to get out in the summer sun and capture some new shots for her fitness book. It was a fun day to play with light. As a Seattle photographer, I get so accustomed to shooting in diffused overcast light. I've come to appreciate shooting in more harsh sunlight, working with shadows and a reflector.
Another knockout studio session with a phenomenal team. We pulled this together relatively quickly and with little effort.

There are some subjects you work with as a photographer where the cadence and flow of your time together feels organic and seamless. The ease of this shoot was simply a result of the casual and like-minded approach of Yulin, Kendra and myself.

I tripped down to Oregon for the day to shoot with the incomparable Morgan Pope along I-84. We took in the breathtaking gorge landscape, even fit in a waterfall hike. We ended the shoot in Portland with a few snaps of her decked out in Oiselle gear. I was also able to shoot some video throughout the morning.
